for those of you who have seen my questions i am aware this is my 3rd one today and for that i apologize. Anyway, i have recently quit using smokeless tobacco i used it for 6 to 8 months then quit completely cold turkey for the past week and have no plans on starting again, my question is this..will my gums stop receding since i have stopped dipping. I understand they will not grow back but i just want to know if they will stop receding since there is no tobacco to cause such reaction..thanks.

When you age usually your gums will start to recede and you will need to see a dentist to get that straightened out. I had that and it wasn’t bad at all. sometimes they need to put filling into them. The only part that draws people back about going is the thought. Scare yourself out of fixing the problem. Believe me it is no big deal to get it fixed.
Yes, your gums will stop receding since the source of the irritant has been removed. Now let’s hope that the white patches where you placed the dip heals properly.

ONCE YOU’VE STOPPED THE RECEDING WILL TOO, UNFORTUNATELY YOU’VE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE BONE UNDER THE GUMS AND W/O SURGERY AND A BONE GRAFT THIS WILL NEVER BE REPAIRED.
